Below is the list of medicines she's taking now. Can you please check and advice?
GTN Sorbitrate 2.6mg
Cilacar-T 10/40mg(when bp>140/90)

Please continue with the medicines and checkups as advised. Dialysis is usually advised if the eGFR is less than 15. So please follow the advise of your treating physician who will be able to guide you better with all the reports and after clinical examination.
Dialysis supports the function of the kidney in the fifth stage as the function of the kidney will be impaired completely. Ayurvedic medicines can be given as supportive medicines that can help to improve the function of the kidneys.

pranam swamiji, My mother is 52 years old with normal BP, no sugar, and not any other problem, but her kidney is shrinking and not functioning properly. Doctor advised her to transplant one kidney. She is having two dialysis in a week. She is having this problem since last 2.6 years.
Answered by Dr.Ramani :
Kidney shrinkage is seen due to congenital reasons, chronic pyelonephritis or with impaired kidney function. The nephrons in the kidneys are affected and causes a reduction in the size of the kidney. This decrease in size will also affect the function of the kidneys. The medicines will help to improve the function of the kidneys and thereby will nourish the nephrons. Please do have regular checkups.
