Doctor's Advice - Question / Answers
I used Drishti eye drops. After some days my eyes have to bear pain but I used regularly. When pain increased I stopped eye drops. Instead of improving vision I experienced decreased vision. I don't know what to do.
Answered by Dr.Sony :
Thank you so much in taking time writing to us.
Eye is the most sensitive part of our body, hence extreme care shall be taken when treating eye. Usually ayurvedic doctors use to tell " Please use this droplet for 2 days and see if you have any itching or irritation, if so inform else, you can carry on".
This is because all eye drop are not meant for all. This eye drop did not suit you and so it started showing signs as pain in eye. Because you neglected, the condition worsened.
Please don't worry and approach an allopathic / ayurvedic doc immediately without delay and get it properly diagnosed and treated.
I have dry macular deg. Do you have any remedies for this? Tx

Macular degeneration is eye disease which affects elders. Macular is a center of visual field on retina which is damaged in this disease and that results in loss of clear vision. It is the major cause of visual impairment in aged persons. The dry macular degeneration the retina can even detach completely to cause blindness. Using Diva Netra Jyoti eye drops which will not cause any harm for 16-year-old boy. I am suffering from dry eye syndrome so i have to use lubricant eyw drops 3 times daily.
I want to know that is drishti eye drops cures dry eyes . i had use drishti eye drops once and had not put any lubricant eye drop that fay day but drishti dosent benefit me for dry eye. So next day ii needed to use lubricant eye drop.
So i want to know that shold i use both drishti and lubricant eye drops daily for dry eye or only drishti eye drop.
And after how much time o can use lubricant eyedrop after using drishti eye drop.
Answered by Dr.Ramani :
Yes you can use Pathanjali Divya Dristi Eye drops for a week and feel how it works. If you feel better, you can use one drop twice daily for a week. You can also use the lubricating eye drop in afternoon and then gradually you
can reduce the drops. You can maintain a time difference of two hours difference in using each other.
If you do not feel comfortable, please use the lubricating drops twice daily. The response will be based on the cause of the problem. Dryness is caused when there is a problem in clearing the tears and also with evaporation of the tears which will make the eyes drier.
But please do have your regular checkups. Consuming Divya MahaTriphala
Ghrit will be beneficial.
Include spinach, broccoli, bell peppers, brussel sprouts, cabbage, gooseberry, pumpkin and sweet potatoes. Reduce excess refined flour, canned foods, refrigerated cold foods, meat, sugar, salt and oil. Give proper rest to the eyes by having sufficient sleep. Try to avoid exposing the eyes to dust or excessive sunlight.
Hello doctor, I am frequent sufferer from chalazian cysts, please suggest me some remedies to prevent recurrence.
Answered by Dr.Vijay :
Greetings from myyog.com,
Styes or chalazia are lumps along the edge of any eyelid or inside eyelid, they are painful and most will go away without treatment. Styes are caused by bacterial infections and internal hordeolum is due to infection of oil glands inside the eyelid when the oil gland is blocked.
Most of the styes swell for about 3 days before they drain by breaking up open.
To avoid apply warm and wet compresses 4 times daily which helps to heal fast.
As a preventive measure, always keep hygiene of eyes.
There are some ayurvedic remedies such as. Make a decoction of Triphala Churna which can be made into decoction by putting one teaspoon of Triphala Churna into 2 glass of water and let it boil till it remains to one glass and after filtering carefully, let it cool by own and wash your eyes daily.
You can use the following drops which are helpful such as Divya Drishti Eye drops, which is very helpful.

Dear Sir, good afternoon, I like herbs and ayurvedic supplements very much, so I need information about Divya drishti eye drops side effects ?, I would be very thankful to you.Answered by Dr.Sony :
Divya drishti eye drop is a low potent proprietary ayurvedic eye drop. It has ingredients which are purely herbal.
As far as ayurvedic eye drops are concerned it is found to be allergic in certain individuals. There is nothing much to worry as the medicine will cause serious complication only when allergic signs are ignored and one proceeds with its use further without proper follow. Allergic signs are usually shown within two days of use.In such cases one must immediately approach his physician for a suitable replacement.
It is primarily used in getting relief from eye disorders such as conjunctivitis, myopia etc. This medicine shall be taken only after strong prescription from an ayurvedic physician and shall not be taken on self.
I am 67 years old. For the last year my eyesight has gone through a 24 hour repeating cycle of 1 day clear vision and the next day blurry vision. I have seen 7 eye doctors (retina specialists). None of the eye doctors knows what causes it or how to correct it. I suffer from macular degeneration. So the question is what type of swami Ramdev eye medicine or treatment would you advise?

Answered by Dr.Ramani :
The power in the eyes is denoted by - for short sight and + for long sight. Short sight or myopia is commonly seen. Please mention to guide you further. It happens due to a problem in focusing by the lens. So wearing glasses will help to reduce the strain.
Dristi eye drops is a combination of white onion, honey, ginger and lemon juice which is good to improve the vision. But medicine like Divya MahaTriphala Ghrit must be taken internally for 6months.
Include spinach, pumpkin, broccoli, gooseberry, curryleaf, red peppers in your diet. Eye exercises like palming, closing and opening the eyes, rotating the eyeballs, looking far and near objects are beneficial. Try to have regular eye checkups.
I'm 23 year old male. From the last 3-4 years, I feel really tired when I wake up in the morning. Due to low energy of body (in morning specifically), I am unable to wake up on time which results in 9-10 hours of sleep. Also my eyes are really dry in the morning which make them harder to open. I have also used Drishti eye drops but couldn't see desired results.
Please help me solve my problem.
Answered by Dr.Ramani :
Excessive dryness is seen commonly after strain or due to the reduced production of tears in the eyes. Dryness is also seen if the tears evaporate at a faster rate. So Ayurvedic medicated ghee can be taken and treatment like tarpana will be beneficial. The eyes will be bathed in ghee which will help to reduce the dryness. It can be done for 14-21days.
Ayurvedic medicine like Divya MahaTriphala Ghrit can be taken for a month and then reviewed.
Include milk, tender coconut water, cucumber, gooseberry, pumpkin, spinach, broccoli, bell peppers, brussel sprouts and carrots. Reduce excess canned foods, oil, sugar, pungent and spicy foods. Protect the eyes without exposing to excessive
sunlight or dust. Eye exercises will also be beneficial to improve the vision and will lubricate the eyes. Please consult your nearest opthalmologist if the symptoms persist.
