Answered by Dr.Vijay : Hello, Mouth ulcers or aphthous ulcers do occur due to internal heat in the body and due to indigestion and irregular food habits and consuming too much oily foods or spicy foods. Hence, by understanding the facts, one should try to consume internal medicines along with local application. Following medicines are helpful for your health condition such as Chandraprabha Vati and Drakhavaleha are good medicines. Avoid consuming spicy foods and consume sugarcane juice if possible. Question: Is it safe to take Avipattikar Churna during Pregnancy? Thanks!

Answered by Dr.Ramani : Avipathi churnam is generally not recommended during pregnancy. Taking one teapsoon or a short course will not harm and in case to make sure, you can consult your nearest Ayurvedic doctor for a better understanding. You can take Gulkand - 1tsp at bedtime after food. It will act as a mild laxative and improve bowel movements. If it fails to improve, you can try triphala churnam - 1tsp with warm water after food only when necessary. Increasing the dosage and continuous use can cause contractions, but that does not happen to all. Include berries, plantain stem, bottle gourd, raisins, prunes, figs, nuts, mung dal and olive oil. Reduce excess canned foods, fried fatty foods, refined flour, carbonated beverages and spicy foods. Yogasanas like Padmasana, Vajrasana, Shavasana, Marjaryasana and Trikonasana are beneficial. Good sleep and sufficient rest are also vital factors that support a good metabolism. Following healthy lifestyle will help to prevent conditions like piles after delivery.
Question: Pranam Swamiji. I am a mother of a 3 year old. He is allergic to dairy, soya, all types of dals, chickpeas and almonds. We are vegetarians. Consuming any of these foods either give him exema or results in redness, ichyness and swelling on the face. His skin is in a quiet good condition as we do a good job in controlling the food he eats. Answered by Dr.Sharma : Dear Taran We understand its a difficult situation with your child .Since he is three MEDICINE could be hard right now. But however we can start with something which may improve the same. Ayurveda says in GENERAL Context that excess of Pitta causes such problems . What ever you do for the treatments in later life but never discontinue Yoga and Pranayam.It will help body prepare for better immune response. I would like to suggest you Yoga VCD for Children by Swami Ramdev Ji (Hindi). For the time being you can start with Divya Gulkand (Rose Sweet)as it will help eliminate excess Pitta but use it with utmost care in very low doses then gradually increase if there are no untoward reactions are seen. WHAT you daughter is going through is Weak Digestive fire[ Agni] , she has RUCHI[ appetite] but she is not able to process/metabolise it,so we may say that she is having a bit of both, Agnimandhay [Digestive fire irregularity ]and Aruchi[ Loss of appetite on a broader term]. First do not make her FORCEFULLY evacuate bowels as it may lead to Piles later. Curd and rice are having Constipating properties if not taken in optimum amount. IT also seems that her intestine peristalsis [movement] is also not good. Anardana goli with gulkand ,will be helpful as this will be acceptable to her and also beneficial for her. Give her Dizomap digestive tablets ,helpful in a long run. Also give her Vidyarthi Amrit GOOd for the common problems of the children. Start applying Some lukewarm oil in navel ,which will help soften the contracted abdomen. do the above measures for sometime to break habit ,which happened due to earlier.Rest shall be taken later. Question: I have left the drinking 4 months back. I have severe problem of acidity in which there is no Dakkar". even plenty of water gives no immediate help. acute pain in headache (which some describe as migraine but i feel it is not that). Even saridon is no help. No proper passage of stool. took Ramdeb"s churna. Kindly advise precaution and preventive measure. churns can be dangerous for intestines. Is gulukand or trifla churna is helpful for long run.

Answered by Dr.Sharma : dear it seems that due to alcohol and other factors ,pitta and vata in the body are imbalanced ,that may cause the acidity and constipation. But with proper lifestyle and well balanced diet ,it shall be manageable. you may practice Surya namaskara,kapal bhati,bhastrika,pavan mukatasna,bhujangasna which will help with improving the digestion all over and also will help for constipation. You may also take hyperacidity ayurvedic medicine and Amlant ,these medicine have effect on excess pitta . Gulkand and triphala may be taken in long run ,they are relatively safer. also eat at regular times and just a little less than your capacity.

Answered by Dr.Sharma : Dear Guest Apko excessive over use ki vajah se peshab ki nali me dryness or jakham ho gaye hai ,jo thodi 2 infection rahane ke karna theek nahi ho pa rahi hai. Ap Pidantak vati band kar de ,usase shayad arraam milega, baqi vase hi chalne de. Doosre ap Dhaniya ke pani me shakkar le toh araam milega. Yadi hasta maithun karte hian toh bilkul band kare aur garam masale vala khana itaydi bilkul band kar de, Nariyal pani bhi apke liye fayedemad hoga. Gulkand aur Avipattikar churna shuru kar hame bataye. Chandanaasva and Chandrakala ras bhi shuru kare jab pahale vali dawa khatam ho jaye. best of luck.
Question: 30yrs, female, IBS for 9 yrs, Thyroid for 5 months, using English medicines, parents have diabetes,my son has IBS, asthma in childhood, tubectomy, married at 18th year, l have two kids, better sleep, bowel movements, anxiety, several times urine passing, burning in urine for 2 months, indignation, normal, low bloodpressure, 25 days, after thyroid last month 45 days. Answered by Dr.Ramani : As with the mentioned complaints and the duration, please check for urine routine and let me know to guide you further. Normally, the urinary infection resolves within two weeks even without treatment. Ayurvedic medicine emphasizes the function of agni to improve your metabolism and energy levels. Ayurvedic medicines like Indukantha kvath - 15ml with 60ml of warm water before food twice daily, Divya Gokshuradi Guggulu and Aswagandha churnam after food twice daily can be taken for a month and then reviewed. Avoid excess refined flour, sugar, spicy foods, carbonated drinks, coffee and oily fried foods. Include mung dal soup, turmeric, ginger, kiwi fruit, berries, cucumber and asafoetida. Yopgasanas, meditation and pranayamam will be beneficial to reduce stress ad anxiety.
