Question: I am 55 years ols Female. I am divorced. I get normal sleep. Normal bowel movement. Normal urine. I do yoga and pilate. I eat normal indian food . Not spicy. I have acute larygitis/ Sore throat as per Doctor. I have had it for over one month. This has happened due to too much talking and straining of voice. I want an ayurvedic cure for this problem Thank you

Answered by Dr.Ramani : Pharyngitis is the inflammation of the pharynx that causes sore throat and hoarseness of voice. Try to give rest and drink enough warm fluids that will help to heal the inflammation. Herbal teas like Organic Tulsi Mulethi Tea will be beneficial. Medicines like Dasamoola Katutrayadi kvath- 15ml with 60ml of warm water before food twice daily, Mulethi churnam and Agastya Rasayanam - 1tsp before food twice daily can be taken for a month and then reviewed. Include turmeric, mint, ginger, tulsi, pepper, cinnamon and horse gram. Reduce excess canned foods, cold foods, sweet, salt and oily foods. Yogasanas like Bhujangasana, Trikonasana, Dhanurasana, Surya namaskaram and Pranayamam like anuloma, viloma, kapalabhati, Ujjayi will be beneficial. Lozenges like Sualin tablets for sore throat can be take to reduce the sore throat.
Question: Hi, I am 30 yo. I am suffering from P Terygium Nasal (Eye problem/disorder), generally feel weak, headache. Allergic to cotton dust, pollens, mites and food allergies such as tomato, turmeric, banana, apple, etc. I have Cold (no cough) all the time. I have high myopia in one eye. I have change in vision. Answered by Dr.Sharma : Dear Guest i want more information like do you suffer from Constipation often,or Piles etc. Also i would like to recommend you that when you take Amla juice ,sprinkle some pepper on it .It would not then effect you. 'Nasya' is type of Panchkarma which will be most suitable for you if you are constantly suffering from clogged nose. Try to find an expert for that in your area. Yoga: JAL NETI is good for you. Answered by Dr.Ramani : Cough persists after a viral infection due to the residual phlegm. So Ayurvedic medicines can be taken for a month to reduce the phlegm. Pranayamam can also be practised which will help to clear the passages and improve the function of the lungs. Ayurvedic medicines like Divya Swasari quath, Divya Sitopaladi churnam and Vasavleh can be taken for a month and then reviewed. Include mint, pepper, tulsi, coriander, garlic, dried ginger, turmeric and honey. Reduce excess oil, salt, sugar and cold refrigerated foods. Warm herbal teas like Tulsi Mulethi tea will be beneficial. As per Ayurveda, cold is seen due to increased phlegm. Cough is the reflex that tries to expel the phlegm. So warm liquids and foods will be beneficial than cold foods.
Question: I am suffering from chest congestion and also having cough and reddish throat and and could you breath properly , if i consume some hot consumable then it automatically reddish my throat . lot of phlegm in my chest but it not stopped .

Answered by Dr.Ramani : The respiratory symptoms like increased phlegm, cough and dyspnoea are seen due to the increased kapha. When there is redness in the throat with burning pain, it shows the increase of pitta dosha also. So medicines which reduce the pitta, kapha dosha will be beneficial. Medicines like Baidyanath Kasamrita Herbal Cough Syrup, Divya Sitopaladi churnam and Vasavleh can be taken. Eat soft cooked food. Reduce excess hot, spicy, oily foods that irritate the throat. Warm salt water gargling will be beneficial. Herbal teas like Tulsi Mulethi tea are beneficial.

Answered by Dr.Ramani : Pharyngitis is usually caused due to a viral infection. Frequent cold and allergies increase the risk of pharyngitis. So except in bacterial infections, medicines are given to manage the symptoms. Sore throat is a common symptom that is seen in pharyngitis. Gargling with warm salt water or soups will be soothing to the throat. Ayurvedic medicines like Dasamoola katutrayadi kvath-15ml with 60ml of warm water twice dialy before food, Divya Mulethi Choorna - 1/2tsp can be taken with honey thrice daily and Agastya Rasayanam - 1tsp before food twice daily can be taken for a month and reviewed. Include pepper, ginger, tulsi, basil, licorice, mung dal and honey. Avoid hard crunchy foods, oil, canned cold foods and sugar. Try to give rest by not talking too much. Drinking herbal teas like Organic Tulsi Mulethi Tea will also be beneficial.

Answered by Dr.Ramani : Non allergic rhinitis is seen for a longer duration with the mentioned symptoms. It is usually triggered by environmental changes. It is also seen in chronic rhinitis as there will inflammation with a constant release of mucous. Package for Chronic Rhinitis can be taken for a month and then reviewed. Include corinader, ginger, garlic, turmeric, tulsi, pepper, cinnamon and horse gram. Reduce excess oil, refined flour, canned foods, salt, sweets and cold refrigerated foods. Yogasanas like Matsyasana, Dhanurasana, Padmasana, Bhujangasana and Marjaryasana can be practised. Pranayamam like anuloma, viloma, kapalabhati, brmari and ujjayi will be beneficial. Regular exercise, good sleep and healthy eating habits will be beneficial to improve the immunity and will help to reduce the symptoms. Drinking warm herbal teas like Organic Tulsi Mulethi Tea will be beneficial.

Answered by Dr.Saurabh : Dear Sir, This is just a low Immunity disorder. You need to improve your diet in terms that take healthy diet and no out side stuff. Avoid prolong sitting in AC also. Take 3 leaves of Tulsi , small piece of ginger and 2 kali marich and then boil them in water, filter it and drink this Quath daily empty stomach in morning. Avoid curd, cold drinks and pickles too. Take Divya Laxmivilas Ras as 1 tablet and Organic Immunity Capsules as 2 caps , both thrice daily after meals with warm water. Also avoid tea and coffe and ispite of that use Organic tulsi Mulethi Teafor drinking tea. Practice anulom- vilom and Bhramari pranayam daily in morning. (2)Zeal Kid Drops- 3 to 5 drops thrice daily after food. (3)Make the child smell Patanjali Balm for cold and headache. (4)Smear olive oil over chest if there is cough. Answered by Dr.Ramani : Coughing after eating is seen with GERD, allergies or any inflammation in the throat. As with sinus issues, there will be more phlegm which will be triggered by allergy. So I shall suggest you with basic medicines that will help to reduce the phelgm and which inturn should reduce the coughing after eating. Ayurvedic medicines like Divya Giloy kwath, Haridrakhand and Divya Sitopaladi churnam can be given to reduce the phlegm. Include ginger, mung dal, cumin, turmeric, tulsi, pepper, cinnamon and long pepper. Reduce excess oil, cold refrigerated foods, canned foods, sweets, salt and refined flour products. Divya swasari pravahi contains the herbs like Vasa, Marica, Yastimadu, Kantakari, Pipali, Lavangam and Aragwada. Salt water gargling, applying warm karpooradi thailam in the chest, inhalations and warm herbal teas like Organic Tulsi Mulethi Tea will be beneficial. Eat easily digestable food, fresh and warm cooked food. Include garlic, tulasi, ginger, honey, turmeric, long pepper and coriander. Reduce excess oil, sugar, salt.
