Answered by Dr.Arindham :
Dear Altaf Ji,
High blood pressure for long time can also effect the normal functioning of kidney .
Also what i can elicit that her metabolism is also not at all proper.
As per ayurveda she must and should take now very normal and light diet.Coriander seeds one spoon soaked in 300 ml of water over night and then next morning filter the water and ask her to drink that on empty stomach. This is good for kidney as well as for bp.
Anuloma Viloma and Bhastrika pranayama will e very helpful to her. So she can continue with this.
Avoid too much spicy food and oily food.
Plus she can take Divya Aluretic Tablets and Arjin Tablet.
Evening brisk walking, consuming lot of water, avoiding tea and coffee specially on empty stomach should be practised.

ECG, Thyroid, Kidney, all the tests are normal inspite of such blood pressure varying 150/80, somes times 130/90 and 140/90. It has been since 7 years. I have not taken any medication since 7 years as per the doctor advice. Now checked Cholectral level 202 as against 200. Now doctor advised me to take Amalaka rasayana for 3 months. I am doing strength exercise, cardiac training 3-4 days in a month. Is it right. pleae advice.
Answered by Dr.Vijay :
According to your above mentioned complaints you can control your BP and cholesterol by modifying your lifestyle with proper diet and regular exercises. So you continue with your strength exercise and cardio training 3 or 4 days in a month, along with that go for a brisk walk or jogging for 1hour daily in the evening time. Do swimming and involve in some active games at least twice in a week. In your diet avoid deep fried food items and junk foods.
Take easily digestible foods only. Reduce spicy and pungent food items.
Restrict your nonvegetarian food intake, and you may try to consume fish, you can drink juices which are good and reduce oily food intake, and spicy foods. You can have fresh butter milk which is also good.
Practice yoga and pranayama, anulomaviloma pranayama is better, and you avoid habits like smoking or alcohol if any.
You can use Arjin or Divya Mukta Vati which is indicated for your high blood pressure.
7 years ago i suffered with high bloodpressure
240 over140 (way to high)
Took medicine etc.but they didn,t do the job without serious adverse reactions
I was contacted with mukta vati and this 'medicine' did do the job well for a while It was not only reducing the bloodpressure, but also the heart rate (in rest round 50) but the max was reduced 20 to 30 beats (i think 180 down to 155)
After using mukta vati (max dose )for 4 months i quit with mukta vati due to tiredness and pain in the lowerparts of the legs
Now 3 years later i am in better condition
and i love cycling but i think there is much more in there.
I think my max heart rate is way to low (is still 150/155)also compared to other
people of my age i am cycling with the same speed but at a 30 beats lower heartrate.
also pain and fatique in the lowerlegs is still remaining after exercising
-did mukta vati something to my heart rate
-if so can i "unlock" my heart or is somekind of permanent beta blocker
male /53 years/not to slighty overweighted/always have been a sportsman
thanks for replying
Answered by Dr.Vijay :
Your concern is regarding hypertension. As you are suffering from high blood pressure since more than 7 years, and used Diva Mukta Vati for few years and now you stopped. Now, your present query is about the role of used Diva Mukta Vati where you are concerned about heart rates also. Usually the role of used Diva Mukta Vati is to control blood pressure however there are many factors for fluctuation of heart rate which you need to analyze by consulting an ayurvedic doctor where you can get first hand information on exactly what is happening. If you are suffering from hypertension, you may try with different herbal medicines and try to monitor, maybe you can use Arjin.
After consulting doctor, it is better to find out your status of lipids and then you can contact us back.

father is having high blood pressure medicine
urine-sometime ok n sometimes very yellowish
past illness-dont have any illness in past
health-always have cold within 1 or 2 days
Answered by Dr.Sony :
High blood pressure at this stage must probably be due to the work load and stress factor. As far as yellowish colour of urine is concerned, it tells you that you are not having sufficient quantity of water.
Here i suggest you medicines and lifestyle change for better cure.
Ashtavargam kashayam tab - 2 tab twice daily before food.
Arjin tab -1 tab twice daily after food.
Drink 8 glass of water a day for resolving urinary tract infection.
Have an evening walk after work ranging between 20 minutes to an hour in a calm place to get rid of stress.
Practice pranayama and meditation.
