It is chiefly used in treatment of conditions such as Osteoporosis and Knee joint pain. Calcium deficiency during pregnancy and lactation can easily be made up with the administration of this medicine. The value of BMD in women has significantly been improved with the use of this medicine. On research and in clinical use , it is found to have anti inflammatory properties. It is seen to be chiefly helpful in stabilising vata as per ayurveda. It can be taken at a dose of 1 tab twice daily. Question: Sir i was facing vitamin d deficiency it took around 1yr to me to recover(joint pain problem) but latest test report says vitamin d is now 35 but when even i eat food like Rice , Rajma , chole pain again gets starts Please advise is this is a symptom of Gathiya Bai? Thanks Rattan

Answered by Dr.Saurabh : Dear Rattan Ji, As per your clinical history , it looks that your body has less power of assimilating food hence the digestion power goes down. Although you Vitamin D levels are quite in range but still the pain persists because the food you are taking like rajma chhole etc are basically the vata aggravating food and also when vata is aggravated then the digestion get hampered leading to accumulation of AMA which is a toxin which further leads to AMAVATA or arthritis . It is advised to avoid all Heavy to digest foods as they will make the bones go more deterioration very soon. NO need to take Vitamin D any more but you have to take care of what you are eating. IF these food are increasing the pain then it could be a Poorva Ruuupam of Arthritis. Take Light meals both times and drink a cup of HOT water after 30 minutes of every meals. Apart from this take Asthiposhak Tablets as 2 tabs twice daily with water before meals and Organic Osteosal Capsules as 2 capsules twice day after meals with warm water. Chew your food nicely and avoid Rajma, Chhole, Arabi, Rice, Banana and Urad Daal. take Care Dr saurabh
Question: Sir, 1. i am suffering from AVASCULAR NEUCROSIS (both hips ) since last 15 yrs.ealier pain was more in left leg but now it is more in right leg .starting from both hip to knee. 2.I was daignosised having HEPATITIS ' c'.tell me wether treatment is available at Patanjali Vidyapith or not. if yes, then how to get treatment.

Answered by Dr.Ramani : Avascular necorosis develops gradually due to the impaired blood circulation to the bone. Initially there will not be more pain and when the condition progresses there will be pain even at rest. So medicines must be taken regularly to protect the joint especially when the bony ends are involved. It will collapse the joint due the to destruction of the bone. Question: Dear Sir, Im 31 years old unmarried women. In June 2016 I started having wrist pain, shoulder pain and whole body pain suddenly. I went to ortho doctor and after my blood test , my ESR level was 32 and I had vit D deficiency. One doctor told arthritis but reports were negative for Rheumatoid arthritis.I have taken medicines for almost 7 months now, but of no use. ESR level is still the same. My hair loss has increased and i have started getting acne all around my face.Body pain is still the same.I have taken whole body checkup also, MRI also. But only problem is ESR and Vit D deficiency. My periods also is normal. Can you please suggest me medicines or foods that can normal my ESR level and Vit D deficiency.

Answered by Dr.Ramani : ESR is a marker of inflammation and please let me know the other investigations to guide you further. As your other reports are normal, I shall suggest you with the basic mdicines that will help to reduce the symptoms.
